Welcome to Vocury. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Vocury mobile application (“Vocury” or the “App”) operated by Vocury (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Vocury is an AI-powered real-time voice translation application. The App captures speech via your device's microphone, transcribes it, and translates it into your selected language using third-party services. Vocury offers three modes of use: direct microphone translation, two-way conversation translation, and third-party app audio translation (Broadcast mode).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Vocury. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the App.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Tier

Vocury offers a free tier with 25 minutes of transcription. No payment is required for the free tier.

4.2 Paid Subscriptions

Vocury offers auto-renewable subscriptions at the following tiers:

4.3 Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support directly, as all payments are processed by Apple.

4.5 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing period following notice. Your continued use of the App after a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new price.

Your use of Vocury is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information, including audio data processed by third-party services. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Services

Vocury relies on third-party services for speech recognition, translation, and other functionality. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their performance, availability, or data handling practices. Your use of Vocury constitutes acknowledgment that your data will be processed by these third-party services as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to the design, code, graphics, and trademarks — are owned by Vocury and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Vocury is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

Translation accuracy depends on audio quality, language complexity, and third-party service performance. Vocury should not be relied upon for medical, legal, financial, or other high-stakes communications where translation errors could cause harm.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vocury and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vocury and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third party's rights.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York, New York.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
